SYTYCD/LOVE

People, if you are not tuning into FOX on Wednesday and Thursday nights...WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU? And people...have you not noticed that there will be back to back seasons of SYTYCD? Another season in the fall? I mean, really, this is exciting stuff. And so far this season, I am waaayyyy impressed.

When they revealed the top 20 I was thinking..."What?" These are not the 20 I would have picked, but I would have been wrong. Because, with only 2 exceptions [Asuka & Caitlin], I love the entire cast. Once Caitlin is gone, I will mourn each one's departure, yes I will. [ummm, that was my inner Mary Murphy speaking]

But last night. Last night, this dance tickled my heart...I loved it...especially the quickie wardrobe change. I never thought a quick step would thrill me so much...

Enjoy!

And don't forget the giveaway below!

I love SYTYCD! There is so much talent this season. And wow, I cracked up at your Mary Murphy reference--perfect! I'm still baffled by that wardrobe change last night. It was perfect.

I'm wondering if by having a season this fall, they'll be permanently changing it to the fall lineup, since obviously the show has proved to be a success. What do you think?

I am so excited that they are having back to back seasons. That's a good 6 months straight of SYTYCD!!! I'm excited, yes I am! (loved your Mary Murphy jab so much, I had to do one myself ;)

I too loved Karla and Vitolio's Quickstep. When she changed her dress, both Hannah and I gasped! It was amazing.

My other favorite of the night was the classical Pas de Dux (sp?) from Ade and Melissa. I LOVED every second of it. As Mia said, you can't fake good ballet training, and those two nailed it! (I'm still wondering just how the stars aligned for Melissa to pull that dance out of the hat...maybe it was rigged, but I don't care...I still loved it ;)

Last night I decided (after years of being told I need to watch it) to finally watch it.
Here is my "first time to watch an episode of the show" opinion.

I loved the dancing.
I especially loved the cute goth dance, and the Cabaret one.
I'm afraid though that the dancing was all I enjoyed. There were just too many people to keep track of. Way too much time listening to the judges. Btw, that one judge at the end I think her name was Mia, I think that if you took Rene Zellweger and Sandra Bullock and put them in a blender, you would end up with Mia.
Anyway, there was just too much going on for me to be able to get into the show. Too much talking, too much back story, too many choreographers to even try to keep track of.
And last but not least,
NOT ENOUGH DANCING.
I found myself longing for the simplicity of American Idol.
Now I have to break the news to Lisa.
