Now that camp is over, I feel like my summer can finally begin. We'll be spending more of our days at the pool, and we'll be listening to these:

Amanda Leigh - Mandy Moore: I've already ranted and raved about this album, but it's just not enough. This is MY album of the summer. I listen to it and it takes me to this wonderful place in my head where I imagine a quaint little neighborhood circa 1952 where children are riding banana bicycles and the mothers are all wearing dresses and aprons. The homes are all lined up with white picket fences and it just feels right.

Bible Belt - Diane Birch: Another very retro-ish album that I love love love.
I'll be playing this at the pool all summer long.

Ummm, when did Mandy Moore grow up and get all gorgeous? (not that she wasn't always pretty, but I guess I've still been viewing her as a teen pop star ;) I think I would love this album. I'll have to check out iTunes.
Love Brooke White!
I'm interested in Mandy Moore's album, I want to listen to it first and that is so hard to find a place to just listen, not buy.
And one little correction, 1965 was approximately when the banana bicycle seats came out.
Before then bikes were styled like the one in Pee Wee's Big Adventure. Those were such fun days!
I've been listening to Colbie Caillat's new single Fallin' for You. It's a nice easy song for summer.
I'm going to check this out. Thanks!
